Only Women Bleed 2, Exhibit Opening


Only Women Bleed 2, an all-women visual arts exhibit opened on March 18, 2017 with the following performances: PERFORMANCE ART collaboration by Joanna Lerio, Boyet de Mesa and Rica dela Cruz; POETRY by Arlene de Castro Anonuevo; 
VIOLIN by Jeanette Kamphuis; 
SONG “Babae” (Inang Laya original) by Gina Luz Francisco with GUITAR by Louie Eslao; and DANCE by Joanna Lerio and Gry Gimena.

The exhibit, participated in by 54 professionals and emerging artists in the field of visual arts, is organised by Linangan ng Kulturang Pilipino, Pinoy na Pinoy Visual Artists Association, and Gabriela in support of the Global Campaign to Stop Violence Against Women and Children.

The exhibit is a collection of women’s expressions of the body, nature, work, passion, relationships, poetry, memories, dreams, and human rights.

Exhibit runs until March 25, 2017
